BPSC Rules and Regulations

The name of this organization will be:
BulletholerŐs Practical Shooting Club hereinafter referred to as BPSC.
 

       I.           Objective:
The members of this organization have voluntarily associated together in order:

                     A.            To provide and promote shooting sports to all qualified persons.

                     B.          To promote safe and responsible firearms use within our community.

                     C.          To encourage support of those rights guaranteed by the second amendment     to the Constitution of the United States of America and encourage the preservation of those rights.

                     D.             To encourage participants in shooting sports to develop those characteristics of self-control, honor, integrity and politeness
which are hallmarks of the competitive shooter.

 

     II.               Membership:

                     A.         Any person who may legally posses a firearm in the state of Texas may become a member of the organization.

                     B.         There is one type of membership:

                                                          a.         Yearly membership fee is $50.

                                                          b.         Have access to BPSC portion of the Bullet Hole Shooting Range during normal hours of operation free of charge.

                                                          c.         Qualify for match fee discounts at regularly scheduled organization matches.

                                                          d.         Can attend all organization functions for members only.

                                                          e.          Returning past member's membership status will be determined by the owners of BPSC.

                                                           f.         May voice concerns and offer suggestions at all organization meetings but the owners of BPSC reserve the right for final decisions.

 

  III.            Dues:
The organization membership year shall be from January 1 through December 31 of the respective year.  Membership will be prorated at a discount of $5 per month through December 31st for new members only. Dues must be paid by January 31st of each year for returning members.

 

 

   IV.           Organization Meetings:
There shall be three types of meetings:

                     A.         The organization will hold regular meetings in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

                     B.           The Owners may call special meetings for the general membership at any time with a two-week notice to all organization members. Notice will be via BPSC website and/or email.

                     C.         General membership meetings to be held after the match to offer critique and suggestions.

 

      V.            Organization Officers:

                     A.          The term of office shall be from January through December each year.

                     B.         The President, Secretary and R.M. shall be appointed by the owners of BPSC.

 

   VI.           Duties of Officers:

                     A.         The President shall be the organizationŐs representative to the public and other shooting organizations. The president is responsible for the monthly running of the organization and to ensure the officers of the organization perform their duties.

                     B.         The Secretary shall keep records of all official organization meetings. The secretary is responsible for communicating with all members about meetings, and all upcoming matches. The Secretary will keep track of all organization membersŐ status in the organization.

                     C.         The Range Master is responsible for keeping an inventory on all targets, tape, stands, and other equipment necessary for putting on a match, walking all stages to ensure there are no safety violations and for scheduling fun days.
 

 VII.          Duties of Members:

                     A.         By joining BPSC, each member is acknowledging their willingness to actively participate by:

                                       1.         Shooting matches regularly

                                       2.         Set up/Tear Down

                                       3.         Stage Design

                                       4.         R/O

                                       5.         Score

                                       6.         Registration

                                       7.         Build props

                                       8.         Act as Match Director

                                       9.         Other Value added work

                     B.         By joining BPSC, each member is acknowledging their willingness to be aware of the basic firearms safety rules and to apply them continuously to themselves and ensure they are followed by others at all times.

 

 

VIII.         Membership Benefits:

                     A.         Each member shall have access to the BPSC portion of the Bullet Hole Shooting Range at no cost. All members must check-in at the Bullet Hole Shooting range house any time they are at the range except for regularly scheduled matches. An organization tag will be available at the Bullet Hole range house for all members to check-out. All BPSC members are required to return the tag to the Bullet Hole range house when departing the range.

                     B.         All members may bring 1 or 2 guests to shoot on the BPSC bays. Other than family members the same guests may not be brought repeatedly.

                     C.         All members have the right to participate in all organization matches as well as any other events organized by the organization for members only.

                     D.         All members that help design and set up a match with the match directorŐs approval will get to shoot that match for free. Subject to review by Bullet Hole Range.

                     E.         All members may attend organization meetings and voice their concerns or suggestions.

                      F.          All members may receive a discount to monthly matches.
 

 

   IX.            Member Suspension/Removal:

                     A.          Membership and organization privileges may be suspended for willful unsafe acts, actions negatively impacting BPSC or gross unsportsmanlike behavior.

                     B.         The President, Secretary, R.M. or owners may remove a person from the range for one day if they deem it necessary for un-safe acts or gross un-sportsmanlike behavior. All other removals must have the approval of Bullet Hole Range Owners.
